How can your business stay top-of-mind with consumers? Email marketing is a great addition to your other digital marketing activities. Why? Because it builds customer loyalty and engagement without breaking the bank. It also works well on your mobile phone or tablet. Today, we’re all bombarded with email, so how does a business stand out and create a successful email campaign?
Your first step is to figure out your goals. For example, do you want to use email to showcase products and services, and bring more visitors to your website? Do you want to use email to drive business results, like distributing an offer that helps to achieve your weekly sales goals?
No matter what your goals are, a good place to start is by building a list of people who’ve expressed an interest in your business. How do you find these people, and get their email addresses? Start by asking them. For example, I own a travel business and I chat with potential customers everywhere, at the grocery store, in the gym, out with friends, etc… Travel is a pretty fun topic, so this may not apply to your business, but think of where these potential customers are and engage with them.
